Ready…GO! The race track is an ideal exhibit to encourage children to design, build and test vehicles constructed from Legos or other popular building systems. They can test and modify their designs in a cooperative play environment. The race track consists of three lanes and an automated timing system with large, bright readouts. As a vehicle is placed in its starting position it is detected by an optical sensor and the timer for that lane illuminates. When the starting gate is released, the timing sequence initiates as the race begins! Time is displayed in 100ths of a second and as the vehicles cross the finish line the fastest time flashes indicating the winner.
