Tabletop Ring Launcher

Our Tabletop Ring Launcher utilizes industrial quality components similar to those found in our larger floor model. This makes it very different from other portable units commonly offered by educational supply distributors who typically sell products designed for occasional classroom demonstrations. These inferior units have a very limited life cycle when used on a daily basis in a museum or science center setting. Our design include a solid state optical relay rated at five times the current load of the coil. An industrial quality timing circuit is integrated in the design to control how long the coil is energized. A second timing circuit is triggered by the first to initiate a short lockout period after each operation to effectively eliminate the possibility of overheating the coil. The unit's status is indicated to the operator by a small indicator light located next to the launch pushbutton. Launch height is controllable by an adjustable ring stop which can be slid up and down the super-strong clear polycarbonate tubing (not brittle acrylic) that protects the coil and core.
